A lady temporarily left her child in our care!
Today I went to my first Lolita meet in a few years, and had a lot of fun doing so :)
Magical colour changing tea! It starts out blue...
We went to Tea Sutra Teahouse which is a tea house in Newcastle that has over 100 different blends of tea!
I had a Butterfly Blue Pea tea made from dried blue anthocyanins, which had a very sweet almost honey like taste, and was very refreshing. It was also a little magical, in that if you pour it over a slice of lemon...
It turns purple!
Leia had a pot of flowering tea. This tea was served in a clear teapot, and at first there was just a small green bundle in it, but over a few minutes it opened out into a large flower!
Afterwards we went to Leaze's Park and took some photos of our outfits!
All in all I had a lovely time and hope for another meet soon :)

Happy Birthday to me!
I entered a contest on Facebook to be the Ladies in Black page (not to be confused with the Ladies in Black blogging group) next profile picture, and if you like the picture (the one from the witch shoot up there) it would be really awesome if you could like the Ladies in Black page and then like my picture (link!).
In other news, it's my birthday today and I am celebrating by slaying dragons and eating cake! Mmmm cake!

My last photoshoot for this month was with Anth Short Photography (who I worked with very briefly as part of the Victorian Gothic group shoot)
While having a lens right up in my face for portrait shots is a little intimidating at first, I really like how these came out.
The Antlers, skirt and headbow I made myself, the long sleeved blouse is from Surface Spell Gothic and the sleeveless one I have on top is 1980's vintage that I onion dyed.
The park we used for this shoot is Mowbray Park in Sunderland, I used to go to this park as a child with my grandma and I hadn't been back in quite a few years, I forgot how pretty it was!

Today I decided to share some of my favourites from the Gothic Victorian group shoot from a few weeks back.
I got to do, basically my favourite thing! Flouncing around in a cemetery wearing a big dress!

Like at the last group shoot I was able to work with several photographers, some who I had worked with before, and some who I haven't.

The great thing about getting to ork with different photographers is that you get a sample of all of their own personal styles

We also managed to get a few shots of everybody this time!

I was hoping that I'd have some photos of these worn with Lolita, but the photographer I did that shoot with hasn't had time to upload the pictures yet.
But yes, I made antlers and did a Dolly Kei/ Grimoire/ Lolita cross over shoot :)
Also if you've been enjoying the photos I've been putting up from my recent photoshoots, I'd like to invite you to like my model page on Facebook :)

I've wanted to do a shoot like this for quite a while now, but it's been a case of finding the right photographer for it, and I think that Kat in a Hat Photography did a fantastic job of it!
It was pointed out when this was posted on Facebook yesterday that it looks like I have no reflection here...Perhaps I am the Vampire of the North after all?
I was inspired by some of the photographs in The Amsterdam Sex Museum (website is NSFW)'s collection of photos of Victorian prostitutes (it's funny how what was once considered shocking and half dressed could almost be considered "too much clothing" by today's standards!), and the outfit is pretty much the same as the one I wore to the Vampire Ball at the Bram Stoker film Festival in Whitby last October, with the addition of an actual Victorian, antique hair fork that was my Christmas present from Kevin this year.
This was also the first time I have had a shoot in a studio (Banana Studio in Newcastle, which has been featured in various magazines and was a fantastic place to have a first studio shoot in), and once I got over how bright studio lighting is (seriously the first time the flash went off I thought I'd never see again!), I quite enjoyed it!
You can see the full set of photos on Kat's page :)
