Back Home :)

The Roman Amphitheatre

Just a few pictures for now, I will upload a lot more over the next few days but today I am very tired so I will just post a few and share the good news!

We were offered traditional dress for the camel trekking, I'm glad we wore it because it kept the dust out of my face.

On Monday we trekked out into the Sahara desert on camels, and when we stopped for a little while to watch the sunset, Kev got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

I said yes of course, how could I not?
I would have said yes anyway regardless of where he asked because I love him, but surrounded by camels and sand dunes and the setting sun it was just perfect!

On the side of the mountains

So as I said I had a really wonderful holiday, but today I am suffering for it a bit, I have a very sore throat which is making talking kind of painful and I am covered in bruises from camels, but I'm happy and glad we picked Tunisia for our holiday. :)

Railway Run'way

Near to me is an abandoned railway that I have wanted to use in a shoot since I found it.

Unfortunately on the day that we did this shoot workmen started taking the lines up.

But we did get to use them just before they were taken up so I'm happy about that :)

It was a blazing hot and sunny day which made for some very interesting light.

Total cliche pose but I couldn't resist!

Dainty girls are all well and good but they can't fix your stuff!

There were a lot of Fireweeds in full bloom as well.

Here safe and sound :)

Hotel is pretty nice, weather is a little warmer than I'm used to and we walked up the road to find chickens LITERALLY crossing the road (why?) but all is well and I am looking forward to camels and visiting Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen's moisture farm tomorrow!

I'm off on holiday for a week, so my posts might be a little sporadic, I shall return with pictures!

Meadham Kirchhoff Spring/Summer 2014

How beautiful is this collection? Very inspiring to me too, I suddenly want to go out and buy al of the coloured tights!
I was already really enjoying the collection when suddenly *woomf* Lolita inspiration!

Victorian Punk

This shoot took place on an abandoned railway bridge.

It has been a long time since the bridge was actually used as a railway bridge so now parts of it have become covered with graffiti and overgrown with plants.

It almost felt in places like nature was trying to reclaim the bridge.

Because of this I really enjoyed shooting there.

One minute I'm surrounded by nature...

And the next is almost entirely man-made!

Wet and Dry Plates Prints!

Group Wet Plate

I posted a little bit about these a few days ago, but I have scans of the actual contact prints now so I thought I'd share those too.

Ghost and Queenie

This was probably one of the most fun photo-projects I've been involved with in quite some time, and it's certainly something a little bit different!

Group Dry Plate

The photographer is Jonathan Keys and we are Ghost, Queenie, myself and Kev, clothing is mostly by Forever in Black.

Wet and Dry Plates previews

Dry Plate group shot

So yesterday I got to do something a little bit different! I got to be involved in some antique photography processes!

Wet Plate group shot

Wet plate photography was originally used between the 1850's to the 1880's and then Dry Plates took over until Kodak came along.

We realised afterwards that Kev forgot to take off his wristwatch so we came up with a story about how I'm a Timelord and he's my assistant!
These are the plates themselves, I will upload scans of the contact prints when I have them :)

The photos were taken by Jonathan Keys and our outfits are mostly by Forever in Black.
