1. The way a handful of loud bitchy people seem determined to ruin it for the rest of us and scare off anybody new to the fashion by making them think we're all frilly bitches.
2. The "all women do it" excuse, firstly we're not all women, secondly just because you talk about people behind their backs doesn't mean every woman does, stop judging people on your lack of standards.
3. Drama Llamas
4. Size negativity, if you're even slightly overweight you're a "fatty chan", underweight and you're apparently blatantly anorexic, somewhere in between and you're likely to be called both, people never seem to factor in that you might have a medical issue, which could extend into mental illness (anorexia and bulimia are both classified as mental illness, and for many people comfort eating is a symptom of stress or depression), and that calling people names can actually make this a lot worse. There's also the fact that some of these people may CHOOSE to be under or overweight, and so long as they aren't trying to force people to live the same way they do why is it such a problem?
5. Replicas, as I've stated before my issue is with replica makers not wearers.
I just find it so lazy and dishonest to copy someone else's design rather than make your own.
6. The competitiveness. I'm in this fashion because I like how it looks, I really don't give a shit if you think you look better than me, you probably do, what do you want? A medal?
7. Those people that call anybody that doesn't agree with them or isn't wearing the most popular style an "ita".
8. /cgl/ hate threads, 90% of the people that get them don't deserve them.
9. Gothic Lolita Wigs, their customer service is crap, they don't have the faintest clue what Lolita is (see the whole hoo ha that happened over their first photoshoot), their wig quality is getting worse, and personally (though I know a lot of people would disagree), I don't really like how their wigs look to start with.
