After the Hill of Tara we stopped off at Bective Abbey
Bective Abbey is what remains of an Anglo Norman Abbey.
It is really quite beautiful
Because of it's beauty it was chosen as one of the filming locations for the film Braveheart
I'm not a huge fan of Braveheart as I feel it completely miss-tells Scottish history
So it didn't really surprise to hear that not only is the plot of Braveheart distinctly not Scottish, neither are the locations used in the film!
But still it is a very beautiful place
So I can forgive its inclusion in such a terrible film!
